Our project is forging ahead and moving into the final stages of construction with 75% complete.

The project has reached significant milestones bringing the facility closer to commissioning.

The multifaceted “Chute to Stack” train has been successfully installed, comprising a Grate, Boiler Panels, Economiser, Flue Gas Treatment Reactor and Bag Filter House.

Late last year, we installed the turbine and generator. Recently the manufacturer Doosan Skoda has completed works to prepare the units for commissioning.

Cladding and roofing works have been completed in the facility’s Tipping Hall and Bunker, and the Control Room is weatherproofed and is undergoing its second fix.

All the electrical switch-rooms have been fabricated to meet the facility’s needs.

Western Power’s 132kV substation has been energised. A high voltage transformer has been installed to step down the electricity produced from the substation, which will work in tandem with the plant’s low voltage (11kV) substation.
